With more than 30 years of mortgage experience—and 33 years with Shore United Bank—Rich Riley brings unmatched lending expertise and a deep commitment to helping clients achieve their dream of homeownership. Born and raised in Annapolis and a graduate of Annapolis High School, Rich later earned degrees from Anne Arundel Community College and the University of Maryland. His lending knowledge spans all areas of mortgage financing, with extensive expertise in portfolio products, construction loans, bridge loans, lot loans, and secondary‑market lending. Having personally built several of his own homes, Rich brings a unique, hands‑on understanding of the building process that clients find invaluable. His service philosophy is simple: everyone deserves the opportunity to own a home, and he takes pride in getting to know each borrower and guiding them through every step of their journey.
Family, community, and the Chesapeake Bay have shaped Rich’s life. Married with four adult children and four grandchildren, he currently resides in South County and loves spending time outdoors—whether golfing, fishing, or enjoying the water. A lifelong Marylander, Rich has embraced all the state has to offer, from Ocean City to Deep Creek Lake. An avid lacrosse player throughout high school, college, and club play, he was also one of the original founders of the Bayside/Annapolis Lacrosse Club, an organization that continues to thrive today. Over the years, Rich has stayed involved in local community and school activities whenever possible. Whether assisting first‑time buyers, supporting new construction borrowers, or helping families plan their next chapter, Rich delivers trusted guidance rooted in experience, integrity, and a genuine passion for the place he calls home.
