Philip O’Neil, Financial Reporting Officer, Shore Bancshares, Inc., recently graduated from the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the Wharton School in Philadelphia. Stonier is ABA’s national graduate school of banking, an intensive three-year program to prepare senior-level bankers and regulators for the decision-making and oversight required to address high-level management issues and implement effective solutions.
“I’m so thankful to Shore Bancshares and the management team for investing in my continuing education in banking and leadership programs offered by Stonier and the Wharton School. Other members of our management team have successfully completed Stonier and I’m glad to join them in accomplishing this milestone.”
“The ABA’s Stonier School of banking is the most prestigious banking school in the country,” said Ed Allen, Chief Financial Officer, Shore Bancshares, Inc. “This is a tremendous accomplishment that will serve our clients and our community well as we grow our organization.”
Since its inception in 1935, more than 25,000 students have followed a curriculum of more than 50 courses and enjoyed networking opportunities with more than 650 fellow students at Stonier. Between sessions, students keep up with trends by completing additional extension and online coursework. The program culminates with the Capstone Strategic Project, where students develop comprehensive business plans to address specific initiatives for their financial institutions.
